Chevrolet Colorado / GMC Canyon Lift & Leveling Hub
Colorado and Canyon lift and leveling hub: 2015–2022 and factory-lifted 2023+ generations, ZR2 and AT4X exclusions, and verified kit fitment.
This hub covers both the Chevrolet Colorado and the GMC Canyon, which share a platform.
- 2015–2022 (2nd gen) · 2WD / 4WD
- 2023+ (3rd gen) · 2WD / 4WD
The midsize GM twins split into 2015–2022 and 2023+ — and the second generation breaks the usual pattern: per GMC’s own launch material, every 2023+ Canyon is factory-lifted (about 2 inches on standard trims, 3 inches on the AT4X), and the Colorado follows the same raised template. That is why ReadyLIFT’s 1.5-inch leveling kit for the 2023+ trucks yields only about an inch on a GMC: part of the “level” is already there. Shopping these trucks starts with knowing how much lift you already own.
We have not hands-on tested kits for this platform. Everything published here is tied to a cited source — manufacturer fitment pages, checked 2026-11-04 — and our method is explained in how we test and verify.
Check first: the exclusions that decide everything
- ZR2 (both generations) and AT4X / AT4 (2023+). The halo off-road trims are excluded from the mainstream kits — Rough Country’s 2-inch level excludes the ZR2, and ReadyLIFT’s 3.5-inch SST for the older trucks is gasoline-only and excludes ZR2 and AT4 as well as the diesel.
- Not every kit fits both twins. ReadyLIFT’s 3-inch SST for 2023+ trucks is Colorado-only — the Canyon’s upper-control-arm design excludes it, whatever a dealer listing says. (One dealer listing showed the Trail Boss as fitting; ReadyLIFT’s own page overruled it, and the kit also excludes the Trail Boss. The manufacturer’s page wins on this site, every time.)
- Diesel owners (2015–2022). The Duramax trucks are excluded from the SST kits but are compatible with Rough Country’s 2-inch level — engine is a fitment field here, not a detail.
The verified ladder
Five kits: Rough Country’s 2-inch level ($49.95) and 2-inch lift ($99.95) for the older trucks, ReadyLIFT’s 3.5-inch SST for 2015–2022 and its 1.5-inch level and Colorado-only 3-inch SST for 2023+, with manufacturer-stated tires up to 285/75R17 (about 33.8 inches). One record (Rough Country’s 922) rests on dealer listings reproducing Rough Country data and says so in its record — the same disclosure standard as the rest of the site. The full list is in our Colorado and Canyon leveling kits guide.
Your workflow on this platform
- Name your generation — and on a 2023+, subtract the factory lift from your goal before shopping.
- Check ZR2 / AT4X / Trail Boss badges and, on older trucks, your engine.
- Confirm the kit names your exact twin (Colorado vs Canyon) — shared platform does not mean shared part numbers.
- Convert your tire goal with the tire size calculator, sanity-check it against the tire size and lift height guide, and price the whole job with how much does it cost to lift a truck. New to the vocabulary? Start with leveling kit vs lift kit vs body lift.

Verified fitment
The table below is rendered from the same verified dataset as the fitment checker — it is never hand-typed, so a correction lands everywhere at once.
| Lift | Tire | Outcome | Trimming | Notes | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| leveling · 2″ | 265/70R17 (31.6″) | Clears | none stated in the source | On factory wheels, per Rough Country data reproduced by dealers — the largest tire stated for the 922 kit | Source |
| suspension-lift · 3.5″ | 285/70R17 (32.7″) | Clears | none stated for this size; ReadyLIFT lists 285/60-20 as the max with trimming | On a 17x9 wheel with +18 offset, per ReadyLIFT — gasoline models only, excludes ZR2/AT4/diesel | Source |
| leveling · 1.5″ | 275/70R17 (32.2″) | Clears | none stated in the source | ReadyLIFT's stated maximum for the 66-33150, on an 8in wheel with 5.5in backspacing; its launch copy quoted 265/65-17 as the no-rub size | Source |
| suspension-lift · 2″ | 285/65R18 (32.6″) | Clears | none | On an 18x9 wheel with +0 offset, per Rough Country's wheel and tire table — the largest no-trim fitment listed for the 13100 | Source |
| suspension-lift · 2″ | 33x11.50R20 (33″) | Clears with trimming | trimming required, per Rough Country's wheel and tire table | On a 20x9 wheel with +0 or +1 offset, per Rough Country's table for the 13100 | Source |
