Best Leveling & Lift Kits for Chevrolet Colorado & GMC Canyon

Best Colorado and Canyon leveling and lift kits by generation: verified picks for 2015–2022 and the factory-lift-heavy 2023+ trucks, with ZR2/AT4X exclusions.

The short answer: the right Colorado/Canyon kit depends first on generation, then on trim. For a 2015–2022 truck, the verified picks are Rough Country’s 922 leveling kit (the only diesel-friendly option here) and ReadyLIFT’s 3.5-inch SST when you want front and rear lift with control arms included. For a 2023+ truck, the Amazon-sold pick is Rough Country’s 2-inch kit; ReadyLIFT’s 1.5-inch level and its Colorado-only 3-inch SST are verified but not sold on Amazon, so they are covered on the hub (see “What we left out”). And if your truck is a ZR2, an AT4X or (for the SST) a Trail Boss, the answer is none of them, because those trims already carry factory lifts.

Every kit below was verified on a manufacturer page or a dealer listing reproducing manufacturer data, checked 2026-11-04 — and each card carries its source. We have not hands-on tested these kits; our method is in how we test and verify. Platform background — generations, the factory-lift trims, the exclusion list — lives in the Colorado & Canyon hub.

★ Best Budget
Rough Country 2in Leveling Kit (922) — upper strut + pre-load spacersCheck Price on AmazonSource listing used for verification

Last checked November 4, 2026

Key specs

  • Front lift: 2″
  • Rear lift: 0″
  • Type: leveling
  • Max tire stated: 31.6″
  • SKU: 922

Why we recommend it

The 922 is the cheapest legitimate way to level a 2015–2022 Colorado or Canyon: an upper strut spacer plus a pre-load spacer, stating clearance for up to a 265/70R17 on factory wheels. Two honest footnotes. First, strut disassembly is required — this is not the no-disassembly bolt-on the marketing implies. Second, our record is built from dealer listings reproducing Rough Country's data, and dealer application copy is not perfectly consistent (some adds Trail Boss and AT4X names that belong to the 2023+ trucks); Rough Country's own stated exclusion is the ZR2.

Best for: 2015–2022 trucks, including Duramax diesels, on a budget

Pros

  • ✓ Cheapest legitimate level for the second-generation trucks
  • ✓ Rough Country lists Duramax diesel compatibility
  • ✓ Stated 265/70R17 clearance on factory wheels

Cons

  • ✗ Strut disassembly is required
  • ✗ Front only — no rear lift, and no tire larger than the stated 265/70R17
  • ✗ Excludes the ZR2 outright; the record is dealer-sourced

ReadyLIFT 3.5in SST Lift Kit (69-3535) — 2015–2022 Colorado/CanyonCheck Price on AmazonSource listing used for verification

Key specs

  • Front lift: 3.5″
  • Rear lift: 1″
  • Type: suspension lift
  • Max tire stated: 32.7″
  • SKU: 69-3535

Why we recommend it

ReadyLIFT's SST kit lifts 3.5 inches in front and 1 inch at the rear, and it is the complete-kit answer for this generation: tubular upper control arms with corrected ball joint angles, differential drop brackets, sway bar drops and cast rear blocks. ReadyLIFT states up to a 285/70R17 on a 17×9 wheel with +18 offset, with 285/60-20 the max if you accept trimming.

Best for: 2015–2022 gasoline trucks that want the complete, matched kit

Pros

  • ✓ Full hardware: UCAs, differential drop, sway bar drops, rear blocks
  • ✓ Stated 285/70R17 fitment on a 17×9 at +18 offset
  • ✓ Matched front-and-rear lift

Cons

  • ✗ Gasoline only — diesel is explicitly excluded
  • ✗ Excludes the ZR2 and the Canyon AT4
  • ✗ Stock struts only, per ReadyLIFT

Rough Country 2in Lift Kit (13100) — 2023+ Colorado/CanyonCheck Price on AmazonSource listing used for verification

Last checked November 4, 2026

Key specs

  • Front lift: 2″
  • Type: suspension lift
  • Max tire stated: 33″
  • SKU: 13100

Why we recommend it

Rough Country's kit pairs front strut and pre-load spacers with rear lift blocks for a true front-and-rear lift. Its wheel and tire table is the most generous verified here for a standard truck: a 285/65R18 with no trimming, and a 33x11.50R20 if you accept trimming. Two precision points from Rough Country's own page: it does not state a rear lift height in inches (so we record none), and its Canyon fitment starts a year later and one drive short — Colorado 2023+ in 2WD and 4WD, Canyon 2024+ in 4WD only.

Best for: 2023+ standard-height trucks that want front-and-rear lift

Pros

  • ✓ True front-and-rear lift for the new platform
  • ✓ 285/65R18 with no trimming; 33x11.50R20 with trimming
  • ✓ Covers Colorado 2023+ and Canyon 2024+ 4WD

Cons

  • ✗ Excludes ZR2 and AT4X, in Rough Country's words, for their 3-inch factory lifts and DSSV dampers
  • ✗ No 2023 Canyon fitment
  • ✗ Rear lift height is not stated in inches by Rough Country

Buying Guide: Generation First, Then Trim

The one factory-lift trim in this era is the ZR2 (2017–2022), which Chevrolet built with a 2-inch suspension lift and Multimatic DSSV dampers. Everything below is written for the standard-height trucks, and every kit excludes the ZR2.

The 2023 redesign changed the shopping problem completely. Chevrolet sells the Trail Boss with a 2-inch factory lift and the ZR2 with a 3-inch lift and Multimatic DSSV dampers — and GMC went further, giving every Canyon a factory lift: 2 inches on Elevation, AT4 and Denali, 3 inches on the AT4X. Read every exclusion below against that fact.

The pattern across the platform

On the older trucks, the dividing lines are fuel and the ZR2: Rough Country takes the diesels and excludes the ZR2, ReadyLIFT excludes both the diesel and the ZR2 and sells you completeness instead. On the 2023+ trucks, the dividing line is how much lift your truck already has. GM factory-lifted so much of the new range — every Canyon, plus the Trail Boss and ZR2 Colorados — that the aftermarket kits are effectively written for the standard-height remainder, and the two brands no longer share every kit: the Canyon’s different upper control arms cost it ReadyLIFT’s 3-inch SST, and its standard factory lift costs it half an inch of the leveling kit. On this platform, “which truck exactly” matters more than “how much lift.”

The hidden budget line: alignment

Every kit in this guide changes front geometry, so a professional alignment after installation is part of the job, not an optional extra — and ReadyLIFT’s 3-inch SST, with its corrected-angle control arms and 7-hour install estimate, is the reminder that labour can rival parts cost on the bigger kits. Factor alignment into the installed price before comparing stickers; how much does it cost to lift a truck breaks down how those labour lines typically stack up.

What we left out, and why

The verified list above is ReadyLIFT and Rough Country only, and that is a statement about verification, not about the market. BDS Suspension, Zone Offroad, ICON Vehicle Dynamics, Eibach and Bilstein all catalogue Colorado and Canyon applications, and FOX supplies dampers in this space — but in this pass we did not verify their product pages to the standard this site requires (lift heights, exclusions and a stated max tire, all tied to one manufacturer source), so they are absent rather than summarized from retailer copy. If a future pass verifies them properly, they will be added with the same source discipline as everything above.

Two verified ReadyLIFT kits are also not picks here, for the Amazon reason: this guide only features products sold on Amazon. The 66-33150 — the 2023+ level that covers both brands (1.5 inches on a Colorado, 1 inch on a Canyon) — and the 69-33300 — the Colorado-only 3-inch SST, the strongest lift verified for the new platform — have no Amazon listings we could verify to our standard. Both stay fully documented, with their exclusions, on the Colorado & Canyon hub.

🏆 Our Top Recommendation

ReadyLIFT 3.5-Inch SST Lift Kit (69-3535) — 2015–2022

ReadyLIFT 3.5in SST Lift Kit (69-3535) — 2015–2022 Colorado/Canyon

If you want one recommendation, split it by generation: for the 2015–2022 trucks it is this SST — matched 3.5-inch front / 1-inch rear lift, tubular control arms, differential drop and sway bar drops, and a stated 285/70R17 fitment. For 2023+ trucks, the pick is the Rough Country 13100 below — the Amazon-sold lift for the new platform.

Final Thoughts: Before You Order

Run the workflow: generation, brand, trim exclusions, then tires. The vocabulary matters too — a leveling kit and a lift kit are different tools (leveling vs lift, explained). The tire size calculator converts your target size, and the tire size and lift height guide sanity-checks it against the manufacturer statements in the fitment table above.

Frequently asked questions

Will a 2015–2022 Colorado or Canyon kit fit my 2023+ truck?

No. The 2023+ Colorado and Canyon are a new platform, and the manufacturers treat them as separate applications: Rough Country's 922 gives way to the 13100, and ReadyLIFT's 69-3535 gives way to the 66-33150 and 69-33300. Nothing in this guide crosses the 2023 line in either direction.

Why does every 2023+ kit exclude the ZR2 and AT4X?

Because those trims are already lifted further than these kits lift. Chevrolet fits the ZR2 with a 3-inch factory lift and Multimatic DSSV dampers, and GMC does the same on the Canyon AT4X. Rough Country states the exclusion in exactly those terms — a spacer kit designed around standard struts has no business stacked on a 3-inch factory lift with spool-valve dampers.

I have a 2023+ GMC Canyon. Which kits actually fit it?

Of the picks in this guide, Rough Country's 13100 covers the Canyon from 2024 and only in 4WD. ReadyLIFT's 66-33150 leveling kit also fits both brands — though ReadyLIFT notes it yields 1 inch on the Canyon, which already carries a factory lift, versus 1.5 inches on the Colorado — but it is not sold on Amazon, so it is documented on the hub rather than in the picks. ReadyLIFT's 3-inch SST (69-33300) is Colorado-only: it will not work on Canyons because of their different upper control arm design.

My 2015–2022 truck is a Duramax diesel. Which kits fit?

Rough Country's 922 leveling kit — Rough Country lists it as compatible with Duramax models. ReadyLIFT's 3.5-inch SST (69-3535) is the opposite: gasoline applications only, with diesel explicitly excluded. If your truck is a diesel and you want front-and-rear lift, none of the kits verified in this pass is your answer.

What is the biggest tire the verified kits claim?

On a 2023+ Colorado, ReadyLIFT states up to a 285/75R17 (about 33.8 inches) on a 17x9 wheel with +18 offset for its 3-inch SST kit, and Rough Country's table for the 13100 reaches a 33x11.50R20 with trimming. On the 2015–2022 trucks, the ceiling is ReadyLIFT's 285/70R17 for the 69-3535. Every one of those figures is the kit manufacturer's own statement, tied to a specific wheel — not a platform-wide promise.
