Toyota Tundra Lift & Leveling Hub

Toyota Tundra lift and leveling hub: 2007–2021 leaf-spring and 2022+ coil-rear generations, TRD Pro and air-suspension exclusions, verified kit fitment.

  • 2007–2021 (2nd gen) · 2WD / 4WD
  • 2022+ (3rd gen — multi-link rear suspension with coil springs, replacing leaf springs) · 2WD / 4WD

The Tundra splits cleanly in two. The 2007–2021 (2nd gen) truck runs front struts and rear leaf springs, the classic half-ton layout. The 2022+ (3rd gen) truck replaced the leaf packs with a multi-link coil-spring rear suspension — Toyota’s own launch release says it “ditches leaf springs in favor of coil springs” — and added available rear air suspension and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) on some trims. Kits do not cross that line, and on the new truck the air/AVS trims are a separate fitment world again.

We have not hands-on tested kits for this platform. Everything published here is tied to a cited source — manufacturer fitment pages, checked 2026-11-04 — and our method is explained in how we test and verify.

Check first: the exclusions that decide everything

  • TRD Pro (both generations). The Pro carries a factory lift, and the mainstream kits exclude it or scope around it. If you own a Pro, shop only kits that name it.
  • 2022+ rear air suspension and AVS. ReadyLIFT’s answer for these trucks is a dedicated kit (the 69-52330 3-inch SST, verified in our guide) rather than the standard coil-truck kits. Confirm which rear suspension your truck has before ordering anything for a 2022+.
  • Generation, before height. A 2007–2021 kit and a 2022+ kit share almost nothing. Name the generation first; the lift height is the second question.

2007–2021: the leaf-spring truck

Leveling is front-strut work — spacers or preload-style kits — and the verified ladder tops out at a 33-inch stated max tire on the kits we checked (ReadyLIFT’s 2.4-inch 66-5075 and its 3-inch 66-5251 both state 33 inches). Rear lift, when a kit includes it, is blocks under the leaf packs. The full verified list, with exclusions and prices as listed by the manufacturers, is in our Tundra leveling and lift kits guide.

2022+: the coil-rear truck

The new platform levels the same way up front, but the rear is coils — no blocks — and the catalogue is thinner and more trim-specific. Verified picks include Rough Country’s 1.75-inch 88000 and ReadyLIFT’s 2-inch 66-52201 with differential drops, which states a 34-inch max tire (295/60R20) with no trimming. Trucks with rear air or AVS route to the dedicated 3-inch SST noted above, which states a 35x12.50 max tire. BDS’s 2-inch kit for the 4WD coil truck publishes a recommended-tire list without wheel diameters, so we record no tire claim for it rather than guess — that honesty rule runs through the whole hub.

Your workflow on this platform

  1. Name your generation: 2007–2021 or 2022+.
  2. On a 2022+ truck, name your rear suspension: coils, air, or AVS — and check for the TRD Pro badge.
  3. Run your trim against the kit’s exclusion list before comparing prices.
  4. Convert your tire goal with the tire size calculator, sanity-check it against the tire size and lift height guide, and price the whole job with how much does it cost to lift a truck. New to the vocabulary? Start with leveling kit vs lift kit vs body lift.
